Have you had it with shoulder pain hindering your day? Tired and frustrated at the continued pain and the impact it has on everything you do? If so, know that you are not alone. For starters, lets identify what specifically causes the pain. Is there a pattern of movements or time of day? If so make a note – we will come back to that. Next, what makes it feel better? Definitely make a note of that can strongly consider doing more of that. Again, more on this to come. Third, what have you attempted to solve the problem thus far? Rest, medication, ice/heat, nothing? Likely you have attempted one or more of these, which is fine. But there is much more that can be done to solve the problem.
Lets go back to the what makes it worse. Are there ways around doing those particular movements or activities (in the short term) to allow the shoulder to begin to heal itself? Hopefully the answer it yes. Even better is focusing on what eases the pain. Are there certain positions or movements that actually reduce the shoulder pain? If so, as noted above do more of them. Make it part of a ritual that every 30-60 minutes you do some movement that feels good. Chances are this will be a huge help in the process to reduce your shoulder pain.
And last but not least is the what have you tried. For someone, anyone dealing with shoulder pain should do is have a muscle and joint exam performed by an expert. This individual will be able to expertly diagnose what is wrong and develop a plan to solve the problem. In this way you no longer need to live with shoulder pain hindering your day.
