My Knee Hurts to Walk

  • September 18, 2023

Are you someone whose knee hurts to walk? Does your knee prevent you from exercising for your health? If so, then it is probably time to do something about it.

At any given time there is a large number of people who avoid walking for exercise because of their knee. They feel if they just take it easy, their knee will get better. They tell themselves soon enough their knee will not hurt and they can walk for exercise (again). But too often the pain remains and motivation fades.

The result?

Every year hundreds of thousands of people under some type of knee surgery. The question should be asked…are all those procedures necessary?

Interesting data is emerging from multiple sources suggesting at least meniscal surgeries are not all they are reported to being. The reports suggest the results of surgery vs rehab alone are almost the same by 1 year. This begs the question, what should be the best plan of action for this type of injury?

What you may not realize is once a doctor performs 1 knee surgery (meniscus, ACL, etc), the likelihood of a joint replacement in the future goes up significantly. Who really wants a new knee?

What if steps could be taken early to prevent surgery in the 1st place and get you back to walking (for exercise) without pain? Would this interest you?

If the answer is YES, then it is time to take action. Do not continue allowing your knee to prevent you from walking. Address small concerns (sooner) thus preventing larger more problematic ones from developing.

Curious what these action steps are?
