Most of us say we want better health and well-being.  We say we know what to do, we just don’t do it.  We recognize we may eat too much and exercise too little.  Between our life demands and 24/7 accessibility, we have little down time for physical and mental recovery.  With so much pseudoscience and misinformation circulating on social media, at our office and amongst family and friends, it’s difficult to know what is truly needed to create long term success.   With each failed attempt, motivation wanes, ambivalence grows and now we lack the confidence in ourselves to overcome our obstacles and create the health and wellness we desire.

As a certified Wellcoach I honor you as an individual and believe you have the ability to change, you know what is best for you and carry the answers within you.  I tease out those answers by helping you look inward and connect you to your new narrative that reflects your personal needs, beliefs, values and what you most desire in terms of wellbeing.  Wellness coaching recognizes your past and present but focuses on moving you forward.  As a Wellcoach, I meet you where you are and help you forge the path to get you to where you want to be. Together we brainstorm ways to achieve what you desire.  You, however, are in the driver’s seat to choose the path you take.  I cheer you along and help you stay accountable to what you envision.  I also understand that setbacks during the change process is inevitable.  Having a wellness coach along for the ride helps you learn what’s needed to build a stronger foundation and move you through the process of change more quickly and with fewer setbacks than if done alone.  

By choosing a wellness coach who is certified by an organization such as Wellcoaches, or others whose certification is approved for national board certification, you can be assured that appropriate evidence based training has been mastered.  I am emphasizing the use of a professional or credentialed wellness coach because the title of coach, especially wellness coach, is not currently regulated and is being used by many who are calling themselves a coach in order to coach you into buying the product they are affiliated with and profiting from.
